Vibrant wedding colours- India Inspired

Colour.

It’s the time of year for colour. Pops of it splash against the grey skies above and make the world a better place.

This year I’ve seen lots of plum, sage green, soft pinks, elegant whites…. but no real splurge of colour. Vibrant colour pop shades don’t really follow on with the trend of shabby chic and rustic weddings. But colour can be magical. Adding hints of it to an otherwise minimalist day, or going the whole way and adding vast swathes of vibrant pinks and reds can look amazing.

Last week I worked with the most extraordinary set of talented wedding suppliers to create a shoot, inspired by India – think sumptuous hot pinks, velvet deep reds, gorgeous textures and big jewels.

I love the nod to the Indian influence, without the need to fully replicate an Indian styled day. this mix of influences, works so beautifully. Here we have Amanda Wakeley flowing bias cut gowns mixed with the velvety richness of colours. Gorgeous Dahlias sit alongside letterpress stationary, and huge colourful jewels adorn elegantly dressed brides. I love this look.

So here are some of the images we created to inspire you. I’ll blog the full set in the coming weeks, but this is hopefully enough to get the ball rolling, and get you thinking differently about weddings with colour.
