A wedding at Woburn sculpture gallery

Roses. I can’t think of a more romantic inspiration for a wedding. Margaret fell in love with a poem called La Rose Complete, and found the words so moving that she based her wedding around it.

“I have such awareness of your being, perfect rose,

that my will unites you with my heart in celebration.

I breathe you in rose, as if you were all of life,

and I feel the perfect friend of a perfect friend.”

It’s just perfect in’t it.

She and Lee chose Woburn sculpture gallery for their wedding, and having visited a couple of times now to shoot weddings there I have to officially declare my love for this venue. It’s spectacular.

My other wedding love is the work of Claire Pettibone. And Margaret fell in love with her designs having seen my blog with some of her dresses featured. She chose an exquisite gown and added a beautiful juliet cap veil as the finishing touch, and wow what a look!

Lee wasn’t to be outdone in the fashion stakes, he chose gorgeous powder blue 3 piece suit from Marc Wallace complete with a floral shirt for his outfit, he looked so dapper.

The couple decided against a traditional evening do, and instead Margaret and her father held a recital playing both the piano and the flute- Margaret is a highly accomplished musician having played with the BBC Philharmonic orchestra during her career. The performance was spell binding, not least because Margaret had written a short piano composition for her new husband. It was just so moving. What a gift to give your loved one.

Lee’s daughter also added to the more unusual evening entertainment, performing a beautiful contemporary dance beneath the paintings and sculptures of the gallery- a positive arts fest!

So here are the images, complete with an incredible sunset, the prettiest florals and a bride and groom who just looked radiant and beautiful all day. I could not love this wedding more than I do…. enjoy.

It’s absolutely divine isn’t it. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of looking at these images. What a truly beautiful wedding.

Margaret and Lee have become close friends of mine since we began our journey together many, many months together. I’m very lucky to have them in my life. My love and every good wish to them both for a future filled with happiness and of course beautiful roses always.

This gorgeous wedding is going to be featured in Wedding flowers magazine out in December, so do look out for that. And if you loved this wedding and found it inspiring, please do leave the couple some love here on the blog.

This is just so exquisite Cat, I absolutely adore our portrait shots of the bride, they are sublime. Love everything about this so much, you’ve such a feminine and elegant eye for photography. We’d love to share this wedding with our readers if the bride and groom are open to the suggestion,
