York engagement shoot – preview

Your engagement shoot is about more than simply getting used to a camera and having your photographs taken. I always encourage you to use it as a chance to be together, enjoy one anothers company with a couple of hours away from everyone and the planning madness, just to be.

It’s a special time in your lives, an exciting time and the engagement shoot is a way to record this and keep the excitement locked in your memory.

So location is very important. Joe and Lynsey came over from Merseyside to York for their engagement shoot yesterday. They have always loved the city ( who wouldn’t), with its incredible history, wonderful gardens and gorgeous architecture. Even the shopping streets are the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen!

They looked sensational, and brought along a little picnic for the photos too. It made for the most perfect and romantic combination.

Here are just a few sneak peeks of their shoot. They both love the results already and I can’t wait to share the rest with them soon.

We started at the Minster- the iconic building of the city and of the north of england. The stone bounces back the most wonderful golden light from the sun and the architecture is the most sensational backdrop, dramatic and imposing.

The pretty streets of the city are perfect for ambling and having a few photos…

Where else do you find such incredible ruins in a garden?

If they look this good on their engagement shoot can you just imagine the wedding photographs?

What a gorgeous couple, and what fun to work with.

Engagement shoots are included in my wedding collections, it’s a vital part of my service to all my couples. Drop me an email for a wedding brochure to find out more.
