A spring engagement shoot in York

Sunday morning in York and I thought we’d have the streets to ourselves for Lynsey and Joe’s engagement shoot.

Not a bit of it. Even at 9am the city was buzzing with tourists and breakfast hunters wandering the cobbled streets soaking in the history.

If you’ve already seen the sneak peeks from this shoot you’ll know Joe and Lynsey love this city and visit it to escape from the world and enjoy time together, So of course it was the perfect setting for their engagement shoot.

With temperatures reaching a balmy 14c ( yup thats mild compared to the past few months) it did feel like maybe spring was just popping it’s head around the corner and hinting it might actually finally make a full appearance.

Joe and Lynsey were so much fun to work with, they relaxed, enjoyed the shoot and most importantly trusted me to create beautiful images for them. They are thrilled with the results, as am I.

So here is their shoot in more detail.

We began our day at the Minster, it’s such an obviously wonderful landmark, towering above the city in all its splendour.  We also found a few brave crocus, blooming in the lawns, and they added a rather pretty dash of spring to the shots….

The little alley ways and cobbled streets are so quaint, and after a few minutes getting settled in front of the camera, the couple seemed oblivious to the shoppers and tourists.

Museum gardens are rather splendid, and the ruins just add to the magic. …

What a gorgeous shoot and what a gorgeous couple. I so enjoyed my time with Joe and Lynsey and am looking forward to their Lake District wedding this summer more than ever. Can you imagine how gorgeous these two are going to look?
