Amy and Chris- a perfect wedding at Oulton Hall.

I have spent the last 18 months or so longing for Amy and Chris’ wedding. I just KNEW it was going to be something really very special indeed, and I wasn’t wrong.

Amy is such a stylish girl, with exceptional taste, there was not a single detail of this wedding which didn’t ooze glamour and gorgeousness.

The day began as Amy and her girls prepared at her parents home. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the girls, her Dad was spied sitting quietly in a front room preparing his speech. I love this shot.

Kizzy from Charisma and Jo from Jo Bilham worked their incredible magic on Amy, transforming her into an extraordinary bride. Just SO beautiful.

Oh and that Westwood inspired gown was the creation of James Steward. It was utterly incredible. And what’s more he was there to dress the bride himself on the morning of the wedding- hows that for service?

I will never tire of this moment, no matter how many weddings I cover. It’s SUCH a precious moment, the first time Gary saw his daughter. Tears all round.

Watching a groom wait at the top of the aisle for his bride, is something of a privilege in my job, and Chris’ reaction left me in tears, he was so utterly overcome with emotion at seeing Amy walking down the aisle towards him. I’ll never forget this moment, and I’m certain the couple won’t either.

After the emotional service, full of smiles and tears, Amy had arranged a surprise. In the congregation sat musicians and singers and at the recessional they sprang into life to sing ” All you need is Love” recreating the famous scene from the movie Love Actually. Chris couldn’t quite believe it!  He actually thought they were guests he didn’t know!

Unusually Chris had chosen the colour palette for the wedding, grey and soft green. Well done Chris, it was a triumph, just how stylish do the chaps look?

A red carpet arrival at Oulton Hall...

SUCH stylish bridesmaids, different dresses for different age groups- genius.

The details, oh the details. Exquisitely beautiful, from the laser cut butterfly place names to the incredible mirror etched table numbers and table plan- complete with the couples bespoke designed monogram.

I told you, this is one stylish bride….

SO romantic isn’t it. And just when I thought it couldn’t be any more incredible I spied these amazing twinkling lights on the terrace, and Amy and Chris dancing beneath. It was only missing Mr Darcy for the ultimate romantic moment!!

Wow. I actually don’t have enough words to describe this most incredibly romantic, happiest of days. It was so special and so utterly perfect.

Amy and Chris, I send my love and congratulations to you both. Working with you has been such enormous fun, so stylish and so joyous. Thank you both.May the rest of your lives together be every bit as spectacular. Amy I shall miss my monthly wedding update from you.

My love and thanks to Annabel at Love My Dress wedding blog for sending Amy to me. Amy is a HUGE fan of the site, as am I, and visited it daily during her months of wedding planing. Annabel recommended me to Amy and  it was a match made in heaven. Thank you so much Annabel.

My sincere thanks also to Phil Barrett for assisting and 2nd shooting with me on the day. It was an absolute pleasure to have you alongside me.  Your ceaseless enthusiasm, hard work and sense of humour made the long day even more fun. Thank you.
