A nod to Westwood- Amy and Chris’ wedding at Oulton Hall

When your bride to be sends you mood boards by email every few weeks in the months leading up to her wedding, you just KNOW she cares about every single last detail… oh and fashion!

Amy loves fashion, so she’s a girl after my own heart and working with her over the many months since the couple booked me, has been an absolute pleasure in every way. I adore this couple.

Yesterday they married in church and had a reception at

Let’s start with her amazing shoes and gown. Jimmy Choos of course and an incredible design with a nod towards Vivienne Westwood, from the incredibly talented James Steward Couture. This matt duchess satin gown was utterly breath taking, heavy, structured and in the softest of warm ivories, and you can imagine her guests reaction when they saw her…

Amy had 6 bridesmaids of varying ages and kept their dresses ivory, with just a hint of the soft green Chris had chosen as their wedding colour. Amy’s parents gorgeous home provided the most perfect backdrop for these shots.

Amy chose Kizzy Charisma to dress her hair and Jo Bilham for her make up artist. Both ladies are about as talented as it’s possible to be.

Amy looked so serene just before she was dressed in her gown, so before the hustle and bustle of the final stages of preparation began, together we created a few shots, shrouded in just her veil, calm, elegant, utterly beautiful.

Amy’s family are utterly wonderful and made us feel so welcome at their home. I have a huge soft spot for her parents and just adore this shot of Amy and her Father arriving at church- there was no prouder man.

Now everyone knows the moment a groom lays eyes on his gorgeous wife to be is pretty overwhelming. But this frame was captured just after Chris had turned around to see his bride. He turned back to the altar and I caught this fleeting moment. Overcome with emotion, his face tells a million stories.

I will admit I did shed a tear when I saw this. It’s so raw and so full of love.

The church was absolutely beautiful and sunlight did make an appearance during the service, through the stained glass windows.

The incredible flowers were created by Twigs

I just loved the green Chris had chosen- it looked beautiful against the boys suits. Oh and those Orchids… they are just so pretty.

And I adored the bridesmaids outfits. It doesn’t get any more chic than this.

Despite some rain, we did get outside for plenty of portraits, and these are just a couple of my favourites of the two of them. They look so utterly happy.

Amy’s headpiece was something of a showstopper, I lost count of the number of times I heard her guests admiring it and asking about it. It wove around her head from the headband at the front, intertwining Amy’s hair with sparkles. It was really out of this world and created as a bespoke piece by the enormously talented Jane of HFCouture. I cannot even imagine how many hours of a labour of love this took to create.

And finally one of my favourites from the day.

So these are just a handful of images from the day. There are of course SO many more to share with you, but until the new Mr and Mrs.Walker have seen them, I’m afraid this will have to suffice. But I absolutely promise there is SO much more glamour to come.

My fondest love to Chris and Amy, who have become very special to me these past months. I could not regard either of them more highly than I do, two wonderful people who it’s an absolute joy to know. And my sincere thanks to Amy’s parents too for making us feel so welcome in their home and making sure we were never in need of anything.

XxX

They look like a relaxed couple. Really like the pic of the bride just in her veil. Nice & fresh feel to these.
