One fine day in May – The wedding of Jenny and Paul at Goldsborough Hall

Early May and with the tree blossom finally in bloom, spring had officially arrived.

The perfect time of year for an elegant and stylish wedding at the most glorious of Venues.

Jenny and Paul’s wedding day was showered with love, sunshine, blossom and confetti. A truly wonderful day at Goldsborough Hall, one of my favourite venues.

In the morning sun Jenny’s utterly stunning Pronovias gown wafted gently from a tree branch in the grounds of the hall.

Inside, as the girls prepared, the chaps were working their ” Don Draper” look in the spectacular library. Mad Men style…

The next shot is one of my favourite of the day. It seems to symbolise quiet and stillness before the hustle of the big day. Jenny looks serene and beautiful- wistful and thoughtful. Shrouded in just her cathedral length veil, with the light softly wrapping itself around her…just exquisite.

On with the preparations, and Jenny’s bridesmaids and Mum help her into her gown.

And then it’s Dad’s first chance to see his beautiful daughter.

So emotional. That moment never fails to make me stop and think.

Then it was a short walk over to the beautiful church, in the hazy sunshine, ready for the ceremony.

Inside Goldsborough Hall the scene was set, with beautiful floristry from Blush Bespoke flowers.

And in the perfectly manicured grounds time for some portraits..

Oh that blossom just looks like confetti sprinkled across the lawns, so pretty.

Just as the clouds began to darken, it was time for dinner and speeches, perfectly planned !

With no sign of rain, we decided to make the most of our incredible scenery, inside and out and set off for a few more relaxed portraits. I so wanted to show off Jenny’s ethereal veil.

And I wanted to capture something a little more intense..

Then onto the fun of the first dance.

And bathed in the evening sun, the perfect end to a most perfect day.

What a stunning couple and what an incredibly moving, fun and beautiful day.

My sincere thanks to Goldsborough hall for looking after us and thanks also to Jess Petrie for assisting me on the day.

I send much love to the fabulous Jenny and Paul. Working with you was so much fun, and so wonderful. Thank you both for putting your trust in me ( especially Jenny with those veil shots!) I’m certain your future together will be bright, happy and full of love and laughter. I hope you are both a little less nervous of the camera now too.

xXx
