Lace and lavender…A preview of Alice and Paul’s Goldsborough Hall Wedding.

For so many reasons this was the perfect day.

Alice and Paul married at the breathtakingly beautiful Goldsborough Hall in North Yorkshire yesterday. It rained, but only when it didn’t matter, and for the rest of the time the couple and their wonderful family and friends were bathed in the warm summer sunshine as they enjoyed this most glorious of settings.

I’m so fond of this couple. They are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet, and I’m honoured to have captured their day for them.

You may recall we went to Paris for their engagement shoot, you can see the images HERE  and from that a real bond was formed. I just knew their day was going to be spectacular and I wasn’t wrong…

These are just a few of the images from the day, a little preview of lots more to come.

Alice’s elegant, and exquisite Enzoani gown…

The boys going a little ” Mad Men”…

The very beautiful and elegant Mother of the Bride…

Pretty maids all in a row, and all in lavender, with bracelet wrist corsages by Campbells Flowers.

The moving and sweet ceremony….

The drinks reception on the perfectly manicured lawns of Goldsborough….

Some portraits in the garden, which Alice loves as much as I do…

More Mad Men style…

Flowers, flowers everywhere…

There’s something of The Great Gatsby about the next couple of images. The groom, like Jay Gatsby standing on the edge of his vast lawns waiting and watching for his love to arrive….* sigh*

More love amongst the blooms….

Giggles on the terrace…

and a final shot as the evening draws near. Something a little more intense.

Oh happy day, this was indeed a wonderfully joyous and glamorous event. There are so many more beautiful images to share with you once the happy couple have enjoyed a private viewing of all their photographs in a few weeks.

In the meantime my love and sincere best wishes to Alice and Paul. You make a truly wonderful couple and I wish you both much love, laughter and lobster in the years ahead ;-)

My thanks to Toni Darcy for her assistance at this wedding, and for working so hard.
