Love is a friendship which has caught fire – The Marriage of Neil and Rebecca at Oulton Hall- part 2

So downstairs a very chilled, calm and at ease groom was waiting for his bride. The first glimpse is one of the most romantic and overwhelming moments of any wedding day. Neil knew he was about to see his gorgeous Rebecca and he seemed so happy and serene. What followed was a truly gentle, romantic and wonderful ceremony.

It was also rather glamorous.

I am always so moved when a couple exchange vows. It is of course the key moment of the day, and the emotion can lift to incredible heights in the room. This was no different. Rebecca at times was fighting back the tears, and Neil tenderly wiped her cheek and smiled a reassuring smile. Their vows were tender, kind and loving. It really was an honour to capture it all.

I just LOVE the brides face as they were told they were husband and wife !

The grey skies held back the rain enough to allow guests to spill out onto the lawns and terrace of Oulton hall for the drinks reception, so this was a good point to take a few family group shots and have some fun with the wedding party.

I could have happily photographed Neil and Rebecca all day, but we had just 20 minutes with them before the receiving line and the wedding breakfast. Having been on a venue visit with the couple, we had plenty of ideas for photographs even in the drizzle which had arrived by now.

The next 20 minutes were romantic and peaceful. Just the couple and Gaz and I wandering the grounds and the stunning interior looking for soft light.

Awe, don’t they just make you smile. I truly loved every second of my time with them both.

Part three will feature the speeches and evening bridal shots, a piano, a black and white tiled floor and some shutter blinds.
